HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1-1 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Jason Wesley Morgan on 1-2 September 30, 2000, at the age of 25, has deeply saddened the 1-3 family and many friends of this beloved young man; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The son of Vic and Mary Jane Morgan, he was born on 1-5 July 23, 1975, in Dallas, and was a graduate of Alpine High School; 1-6 after earning his associate's degree in drafting from Texas State 1-7 Technical College--Sweetwater, Mr. Morgan spent several years 1-8 working in the Dallas area before returning to Alpine to complete 1-9 his degree in business at Sul Ross State University; and 1-10 WHEREAS, This avid golfer was employed with the Alpine 1-11 Country Club and was a devoted member of the Alpine Church of 1-12 Christ; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Jason Morgan was a young man of great promise, and 1-14 although his life has been cut tragically short, his spirit 1-15 continues to live on in the hearts and minds of all who were 1-16 privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the 77th Legislature of the State of Texas 1-18 hereby pay tribute to the life of Jason Wesley Morgan and extend 1-19 sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Vic 1-20 and Mary Jane Morgan; to his brother, Jeremy Morgan; to his 1-21 grandparents, Cecil Folks and Raymond and Lucille Morgan; and to 1-22 his other relatives and friends; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-1 House of Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in 2-2 memory of Jason Wesley Morgan.
