                             HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
1-1 WHEREAS, Three San Angelo residents, Jonathan Galindo, Hervey
1-2 Rey, and Fernando Rey, are indeed deserving of special recognition

1-4 of two plane-crash victims; and
1-5 WHEREAS, The twin-engine airplane was en route to Houston
1-6 when it aborted an attempted landing at Reagan County Airport and
1-7 lost control; as it headed toward Big Lake, the plane clipped power
1-8 lines, hit a utility pole, and came to a halt between two homes
1-9 before erupting in flames, leaving occupants Robert Nardizzi and
1-10 Mike Naegli in tremendous peril; and
1-11 WHEREAS, Having watched the plane crash within 50 feet of
1-12 his front door, 14-year-old Hervey Rey quickly joined his uncle,

1-14 to save the men from the burning wreckage; while both occupants had
1-15 been seriously injured, Mr. Nardizzi was able to climb out on the

1-17 plane until being pulled to safety by Fernando Rey; and
1-18 WHEREAS, With the aid of fellow residents, the trio rendered
1-19 medical aid to the victims and valiantly fought the flames from the
1-20 crash with a water hose until help arrived; suffering extensive
1-21 injuries from both the crash and fire, Mr. Nardizzi and Mr. Naegli
1-22 are truly fortunate to have escaped with their lives and are
