Cannon, has received 1-2 a prestigious Dallas 100 Award, and this significant accomplishment 1-3 is indeed worthy of special praise; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Presented by Southern Methodist University's Cox 1-5 School of Business Caruth Institute and the CEO Institute, this 1-6 noteworthy honor is accorded to the top 100 fastest growing, 1-7 privately held companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex; in 1-8 addition, the accolade recognizes businesses that make important 1-9 contributions to the area, such as helping to establish Dallas as a 1-10 leading economic developer and generating job opportunities; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Specializing in materials handling, packaging, and 1-12 storage planning, W. W. Cannon supplies its many customers with a 1-13 wide range of merchandise to help operate industrial plants, 1-14 including drawers, dollies, stock carts, stools, work benches, 1-15 ladders, file and storage cabinets, security enclosures, and many 1-16 other products; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Under Mr. Brown's astute guidance, W. W. Cannon has 1-18 grown and flourished by continuing to meet the needs of its diverse 1-19 clientele; moreover, the company has expanded to San Antonio and 1-20 markets its impressive inventory to countless people through the 1-21 World Wide Web; and 1-22 WHEREAS, The son of State Representative Betty Brown, 1-23 Mr. Brown has used his vision, experience, and savvy to make W. W. 1-24 Cannon a leader in the Dallas business community and one of the 2-1 strongest and most enterprising companies in the Lone Star State, 2-2 and it is most appropriate to pay tribute to him at this time; now, 2-3 therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the 77th Legislature of the State of Texas 2-5 hereby congratulate Greg Brown of W. W. Cannon on his receipt of a 2-6 Dallas 100 Award and extend to him sincere best wishes for 2-7 continued success and good fortune; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Mr. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-10 House of Representatives and Senate.
