                             HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The 77th Legislature of the State of Texas is proud
 1-2     to honor Gloria Zuniga of Brownwood for her outstanding service as
 1-3     a legislative aide in the District 95 office of State
 1-4     Representative Glenn O. Lewis; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A bilingual legislative assistant for community and
 1-6     social affairs, Ms. Zuniga capably handles myriad responsibilities,
 1-7     including social work, community outreach, and attending meetings
 1-8     in behalf of Representative Lewis; in addition, she facilitates
 1-9     task force gatherings, performs research, and produces reports; and
1-10           WHEREAS, This accomplished woman majors in social work at
1-11     Tarleton State University, where she is a member of Alpha Chi
1-12     National Honor Society and has served as president of the Student
1-13     Social Work Association and the National Organization for Women
1-14     chapter; before enrolling at Tarleton she attended Howard Payne
1-15     University, graduated summa cum laude from Western Texas College
1-16     with an associate of arts degree, and earned an associate degree in
1-17     secretarial science from Texas State Technical Institute; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Gloria Zuniga demonstrates commitment and
1-19     perseverance as she plays an active role in the 77th Texas
1-20     legislative session and she is indeed worthy of special recognition
1-21     at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the 77th Legislature of the State of Texas
1-23     hereby commend Gloria Zuniga for her contributions to the
1-24     legislature and the people of Texas and extend to her best wishes
 2-1     for success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for Ms. Zuniga as an expression of high regard by the
 2-4     Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
