HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature is proud to honor Jody Medcalf
 1-2     on her selection as one of the Fort Worth Independent School
 1-3     District's Outstanding Teachers; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This noteworthy individual was honored at the school
 1-5     district's Outstanding Teacher Recognition Dinner on February 15,
 1-6     2001; hosted by local businesses and district officials, the dinner
 1-7     took place at the Round Up Inn in the Amon G. Carter, Jr., Exhibits
 1-8     Hall; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, A teacher at O. D. Wyatt High School, she and the
1-10     other exemplary educators chosen to be honored were selected by
1-11     their peers for their commitment and dedication to students; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious
1-13     resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our young
1-14     people to become successful adults; Jody Medcalf has demonstrated
1-15     the drive and determination that we expect from our teachers, and
1-16     she is truly deserving of special legislative recognition for her
1-17     diligence and commitment to excellence in this demanding
1-18     profession; now, therefore, be it
1-19           RESOLVED, That the 77th Legislature of the State of Texas
1-20     hereby congratulate Jody Medcalf for being named one of the Fort
1-21     Worth Independent School District's Outstanding Teachers and
1-22     commend her superior service to the children of Texas; and, be it
1-23     further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for this esteemed individual as an expression of high
 2-2     regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
