                             HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, Matthew Carroll alleges that:
 1-2                 (1)  he was employed with Texas A&M University's Center
 1-3     for Housing and Urban Development as project manager for the
 1-4     Progreso Family Community Center Project;
 1-5                 (2)  he was wrongfully discharged by Texas A&M
 1-6     University;
 1-7                 (3)  the termination resulted from Mr. Carroll's
 1-8     refusal to falsify time sheets in violation of the Federal Fair
 1-9     Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.C. Section 201 et seq.)
1-10     relating to the keeping of wage and hour records; and
1-11                 (4)  Mr. Carroll is entitled to recover damages and
1-12     other relief as the court deems appropriate; now, therefore, be it
1-13           RESOLVED by the Legislature of the State of Texas, That
1-14     Matthew Carroll is granted permission to sue the State of Texas and
1-15     The Texas A&M University System subject to Chapter 107, Civil
1-16     Practice and Remedies Code; and, be it further
1-17           RESOLVED, That the chancellor of The Texas A&M University
1-18     System be served process as provided by Section 107.002(a)(3),
1-19     Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
