HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives and Senate are
 1-2     pleased to welcome the visiting group from North Pointe Elementary
 1-3     School in Clear Lake City to the State Capitol on April 26, 2001;
 1-4     and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The dedicated staff of North Pointe Elementary
 1-6     School strives to care for, guide, and help all of the students
 1-7     reach their full potential by providing students with an
 1-8     educational environment that meets their needs and gives them the
 1-9     skills they will need to make a worthwhile contribution to society;
1-10     and
1-11           WHEREAS, Since its doors opened in 1995, this outstanding
1-12     school has received a state accountability rating of "exemplary"
1-13     each year, and it currently serves 957 students enrolled in early
1-14     childhood education classes through the fifth grade; and
1-15           WHEREAS, In attendance today at the State Capitol are 160
1-16     fourth-graders, eight teachers, and the school's principal; these
1-17     talented students have recently been studying Texas history, and
1-18     their field trip to see their state's government in action will no
1-19     doubt prove enlightening and serve as an ideal supplement to their
1-20     studies; and
1-21           WHEREAS, At this time, it is indeed a privilege to pay
1-22     tribute to these future leaders of the Lone Star State from North
1-23     Pointe Elementary School and to warmly welcome them to Austin; now,
1-24     therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the 77th Legislature of the State of Texas
 2-2     hereby welcome the visiting students and staff of North Pointe
 2-3     Elementary School and extend to them sincere best wishes for an
 2-4     enjoyable visit to the State Capitol.
