Section 67, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, is 1-12 amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: 1-13 (g) If the legislature provides for a fire fighters' pension 1-14 commissioner, the term of office for that position is four years. 1-15 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be 1-16 submitted to the voters at an election to be held on November 6, 1-17 2001. The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against 1-18 the proposition: "The constitutional amendment providing for a 1-19 four-year term of office for the fire fighters' pension 1-20 commissioner." 1-21 * * * * *
