                                 A JOINT RESOLUTION
 1-1     proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the right to hunt
 1-2     and fish.
 1-3           BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by
 1-5     adding Section 32 to read as follows:
 1-6           Sec. 32. Every person has the right to hunt and fish in this
 1-7     state in accordance with the laws of this state.
 1-8           SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
 1-9     submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 6, 2001.
1-10     The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
1-11     proposition:  "The constitutional amendment recognizing the right
1-12     of a person to hunt and fish in this state."
