No. 114 77R6420 ATP-D A JOINT RESOLUTION 1-1 proposing a constitutional amendment increasing the maximum ad 1-2 valorem tax rate allowed on taxable property in rural fire 1-3 prevention districts located in Comal County. 1-4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Section 48-d(b), Article III, Texas Constitution, 1-6 is amended to read as follows: 1-7 (b) The Legislature shall have the power to authorize a tax 1-8 on the ad valorem property situated in a rural fire prevention 1-9 district located in whole or part in Harris County or Comal County 1-10 not to exceed Five (5 ) Cents on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars 1-11 valuation for the support of the district. 1-12 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be 1-13 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 6, 2001. 1-14 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the 1-15 proposition: "The constitutional amendment increasing the maximum 1-16 ad valorem tax rate allowed on taxable property in rural fire 1-17 prevention districts located in Comal County."
