By Gallego H.R. No. 23 77R1041 GMW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Keesey H. Kimball of Alpine on July 1-2 24, 2000, brought a great loss to the family and many friends of 1-3 this esteemed Texan; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A lifelong Alpine resident, Mr. Kimball was a 1-5 graduate of Alpine High School and Sul Ross Teaching College; for 1-6 many years this distinguished gentleman was successfully 1-7 self-employed as a rancher, in the concrete and rock crushing 1-8 business, and as a custom gun builder; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Mr. Kimball donated his time and talents as state 1-10 president of the FFA and as president of the Highland Hereford 1-11 Association; in addition, he was active as an officer of the Gun 1-12 Makers Guild, and his gun-crafting skill earned him recognition as 1-13 a master gun builder; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Although Keesey H. Kimball will be deeply missed, 1-15 his spirit will undoubtedly continue to live on in the hearts and 1-16 minds of the many people whose lives he touched, and it is indeed 1-17 fitting to honor his memory at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-19 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Keesey H. Kimball and 1-20 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, 1-21 Mary Ellen Kimball; to his father, Otis H. Kimball; to his four 1-22 sons, Keesey Joe Kimball, Gary G. Kimball, Monty Kimball, and 1-23 Jeffrey K. Kimball; to his five grandchildren, Jacque Yarborough, 1-24 Jennifer Kimball, Keesey W. Kimball, Kyle Kimball, and Kimberly 2-1 Kimball; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it 2-2 further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-5 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-6 Keesey H. Kimball.
