R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Guy Crawford Stillwell of Marathon on 1-2 July 24, 2000, at the age of 77, brought a great loss to the many 1-3 people who knew and admired him; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born on September 7, 1922, in Marathon, this West 1-5 Texas native devoted his time and talents to his chosen career as a 1-6 rancher throughout his lifetime; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Mr. Stillwell and his wife, Mary, enjoyed a happy 1-8 and rewarding marriage, and his life was further enriched by his 1-9 children and extensive circle of friends; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Though Mr. Stillwell will be deeply missed, his 1-11 memory will surely live on for years to come in the hearts and 1-12 minds of the many people whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be 1-13 it 1-14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-15 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Guy Crawford Stillwell and 1-16 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, 1-17 Mary Jack Stillwell; to his sons, Guy Olin "Tige" Stillwell and 1-18 Frank Delmar Stillwell; to his stepson, Charly Ray Holsenbeck; to 1-19 his stepdaughter, Darlene H. Childs; to his sister, Dadie Stillwell 1-20 Potter; and to his other loved ones; and, be it further 1-21 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-22 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 1-23 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 1-24 Guy Crawford Stillwell.
