                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Dr. S. M. Elliott, D.C., has served as president of
 1-2     Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) for more than 10 years, and his
 1-3     outstanding service has significantly benefitted the school and its
 1-4     students; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A graduate of TCC himself, Dr. Elliott operated a
 1-6     successful practice in Dayton, Texas, for 38 years before being
 1-7     tapped to lead this respected institution in 1990; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, The evolving face of health care has created a
 1-9     growing demand for health practitioners in a broad spectrum of
1-10     specializations, and under Dr. Elliott's able guidance, Texas
1-11     Chiropractic College has produced many highly qualified members of
1-12     the chiropractic profession; and
1-13           WHEREAS, For over a decade, Dr. Elliott has provided
1-14     admirable guidance and direction for TCC while skillfully
1-15     discharging his myriad duties and responsibilities; under his
1-16     leadership, the college has gained significantly in stature
1-17     providing students and teachers alike with an atmosphere focused on
1-18     achieving excellence in education; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Dr. Elliott's numerous accomplishments while
1-20     president of TCC truly merit special legislative recognition; now,
1-21     therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby honor Dr. S. M. Elliott, D.C., for his many
 2-2     achievements in the field of health education and extend to him
 2-3     sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
 2-4     further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-6     prepared for Dr. Elliott as an expression of high regard by the
 2-7     Texas House of Representatives.  BEGCAPTION 
 2-8     Honoring Dr. S. M. Elliott, D.C., for his contributions as
 2-9     president of Texas Chiropractic College.
