R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, March 31, 2000, was indeed a special day in the
 1-2     lives of Eric and Julissa Ann Barbosa, for it marked the occasion
 1-3     of the birth of their precious baby girl, Elissa Barbosa; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Elissa made her debut at 5 p.m. on that memorable
 1-5     Friday, and her long-awaited arrival was truly a source of great
 1-6     pride to the family and its extensive circle of relatives and
 1-7     friends; blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning
 1-8     personality, she has brought much joy to the lives of her parents,
 1-9     grandparents, and many new admirers; and
1-10           WHEREAS,  Elissa's parents are both talented, hardworking,
1-11     and successful individuals; the father of this tiny Texan,
1-12     Mr. Barbosa is a student at The University of Texas School of Law,
1-13     while the mother, the former Julissa Ann Hinojosa, is an integral
1-14     part of the legislative staff of Speaker of the House Pete Laney;
1-15     and
1-16           WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event,
1-17     and it is truly a privilege to join in celebrating the arrival of
1-18     Elissa Barbosa and to honor her delighted parents; now, therefore,
1-19     be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby congratulate Eric and Julissa Ann Barbosa on the
1-22     birth of their cherished daughter and extend to them sincere best
1-23     wishes for much happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for the Barbosa family in commemoration of this noteworthy
 2-2     occasion.
