                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The affinity and deep respect Cynthia M. Fountain
 1-2     has for all things pertinent to the Lone Star State make it a
 1-3     pleasure to bestow on her the title of honorary Texan; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This esteemed woman received a bachelor's degree
 1-5     from Boston State College in 1976 and went on to earn a master's
 1-6     degree at Northeastern University, where she was a member of the
 1-7     prestigious Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in
 1-8     Education; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, An established leader in the insurance industry,
1-10     Ms. Fountain has been a senior claims examiner for Lexington
1-11     Insurance Company in Boston, Massachusetts, since 1992; in
1-12     addition, she is a recent former vice president of the Boston
1-13     Association of Claims Executives; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Much of her distinguished 18-year professional
1-15     career has been spent working in Texas:  she has served as a senior
1-16     claims adjuster for Amerisure Companies in Dallas, senior claims
1-17     representative for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in Dallas, and
1-18     senior claims representative for Kemper Insurance Company in
1-19     Garland; moreover, she was a claims representative for Hanover
1-20     Insurance Company in Dallas and a telephone claims representative
1-21     for The Hartford Insurance Company in Dallas and Longview; and
1-22           WHEREAS, Ms. Fountain's impressive record of service speaks
1-23     volumes about her enterprise and dedication, traits that Texans
1-24     admire and encourage; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, Texans take great pride in their state and its
 2-2     storied history, and Ms. Fountain has proven herself to be a person
 2-3     of immense abilities who is truly deserving of being part of the
 2-4     Lone Star State's rich heritage; and
 2-5           WHEREAS, Although she was not born in Texas, Ms. Fountain
 2-6     possesses many attributes that make her a credit to any state, and
 2-7     we in Texas recognize that this accomplished woman is more than
 2-8     worthy of her newly designated status as an honorary Texan; now,
 2-9     therefore, be it
2-10           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
2-11     Legislature hereby recognize Cynthia M. Fountain as an honorary
2-12     Texan with all the privileges accorded those individuals native to
2-13     the Lone Star State and that she be extended sincere best wishes
2-14     for good fortune and happiness in her future endeavors; and, be it
2-15     further
2-16           RESOLVED, That this resolution serve as formal proof of
2-17     Ms. Fountain's new status.
