R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The members of the Texas House of Representatives
 1-2     take great pleasure in congratulating their colleague,
 1-3     Representative Dianne White Delisi, on her election as chair of the
 1-4     board of directors of the national organization, Women In
 1-5     Government; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Women In Government is a bipartisan, nonprofit,
 1-7     educational association for women elected to serve in state
 1-8     government that was established to promote informed policy making
 1-9     and increased participation by women in governmental leadership
1-10     roles; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Representative Delisi is now serving in her sixth
1-12     session as a member of the Texas House of Representatives and
1-13     during her distinguished tenure she has been a valued contributor
1-14     to the work of this chamber, having served with distinction as vice
1-15     chair of the House Appropriations Committee and the Public Health
1-16     Committee, as well as ably serving on the rules and resolutions;
1-17     house administration; public safety; and state, federal, and
1-18     international relations committees; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Throughout her years of legislative service,
1-20     Representative Delisi has demonstrated exemplary leadership and
1-21     vision; these qualities will undoubtedly serve her well in her
1-22     position with Women In Government and it is indeed appropriate that
1-23     she be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable Dianne White Delisi
 2-2     on her election as chair of the Women In Government Board of
 2-3     Directors and extend to her sincere best wishes for success in her
 2-4     new role; and, be it further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-6     prepared for Representative Delisi as an expression of high regard
 2-7     by her colleagues in the Texas House of Representatives.
