                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Sue Meischen of Austin was recently named the first
 1-2     recipient of the Bill Connelly Outstanding Service Award from the
 1-3     Paramount Theatre, and this noteworthy honor is most deserving of
 1-4     special recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A volunteer at the theater for the past eight years,
 1-6     Ms. Meischen exhibits a positive attitude and energetic spirit that
 1-7     have earned her the respect of all the volunteers and staff at the
 1-8     Paramount; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, In light of her generous gifts of time and talent,
1-10     the Paramount Theatre has presented Ms. Meischen with the newly
1-11     established Bill Connelly Outstanding Service Award; this award,
1-12     which will be presented annually, was named for a former Paramount
1-13     Theatre volunteer and recognizes an individual for exceptional
1-14     efforts in behalf of this enduring cinema; and
1-15           WHEREAS, The devoted mother of two sons, Herb and Scott, she
1-16     remains quite busy away from the theater as well, spending as much
1-17     time as possible with her beloved children, four cherished
1-18     grandchildren, and many close friends; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Ms. Meischen has long been invaluable to the
1-20     successful operation of the Paramount Theatre, and her exemplary
1-21     service is indeed worthy of praise; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate Sue Meischen for receiving the Bill
1-24     Connelly Outstanding Service Award from the Paramount Theatre in
 2-1     Austin and extend to her best wishes for continued success and
 2-2     happiness; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Ms. Meischen as an expression of high regard by the
 2-5     Texas House of Representatives.
