R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Jonathan James Hubbard of Houston has achieved the 1-2 highest rank bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America with his receipt 1-3 of the prestigious Eagle Scout insignia; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Since becoming a member of the Boy Scouts, 1-5 Mr. Hubbard has actively participated in his troop while 1-6 maintaining the high standards and ideals emblematic of that fine 1-7 organization; and 1-8 WHEREAS, In completing the rigorous qualifications necessary 1-9 to ascend to the rank of Eagle Scout, this outstanding young Texan 1-10 worked diligently to earn the requisite merit badges and complete 1-11 his Eagle Scout project, for which he organized a drive to collect 1-12 food, baby products, and children's books for the Star of Hope 1-13 Women's Center; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Mr. Hubbard excels in academics and is an honor 1-15 student at Lutheran High North, where he is a member of the varsity 1-16 football and baseball teams; in addition, he is a member of Our 1-17 Savior Lutheran Church and is active in its youth group; and 1-18 WHEREAS, The elite rank of Eagle Scout is attained by only a 1-19 few accomplished individuals; Mr. Hubbard's achievement is indeed 1-20 worthy of highest praise, and it is a privilege to recognize him at 1-21 this time; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby congratulate Jonathan James Hubbard for earning 1-24 the rank of Eagle Scout and that he be extended sincere best wishes 2-1 for continued success and happiness; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for Eagle Scout Hubbard as an expression of high regard by 2-4 the Texas House of Representatives.
