R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to 1-2 welcome the members of the Texas Federation of College Republicans 1-3 to the State Capitol; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Federation of College 1-5 Republicans have provided political education on college campuses 1-6 all over the State of Texas and have volunteered countless hours to 1-7 Republican candidates; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The hard work and dedication of these young people 1-9 have aided in the election of candidates to all levels of 1-10 government from local to national; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Their outstanding commitment to their beliefs has 1-12 vastly increased the political education and dialogue on campuses 1-13 across the state; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Under the able guidance of its leaders, the Texas 1-15 Federation of College Republicans continues to strive to ensure 1-16 that college students will always have an active leadership role in 1-17 the Republican Party; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-19 Legislature hereby recognize February 12, 2001, as Texas Federation 1-20 of College Republicans Day at the State Capitol and acknowledge the 1-21 fine work done by this organization in behalf of the candidates of 1-22 the Republican Party; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for the members of the Texas Federation of College 2-1 Republicans as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of 2-2 Representatives.
