                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The mission of public schools in Texas is to fulfill
 1-2     the diverse needs of all children residing in our state, enabling
 1-3     them to become productive citizens of society when they reach
 1-4     adulthood; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The efforts of the Wichita Falls Independent School
 1-6     District (ISD) in this regard include providing parents with
 1-7     information about the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
 1-8     and other health insurance programs for children; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, This exemplary school district has taken a proactive
1-10     approach to ensure that its students have adequate medical
1-11     coverage, including organizing a registration day to encourage
1-12     eligible families to enroll in CHIP; and
1-13           WHEREAS, With its leadership and vision, the Wichita Falls
1-14     ISD  has demonstrated its commitment and devotion to serving its
1-15     students and their families; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Keeping the young people of our state safe and
1-17     healthy is an enormous responsibility; the Wichita Falls ISD has
1-18     made immeasurable contributions in this area, and it is indeed most
1-19     appropriate to pay tribute to the school district's administrators,
1-20     faculty, and staff at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby commend the Wichita Falls Independent School
1-23     District and its esteemed administrators, faculty, and staff for
1-24     their efforts to help Texas families with uninsured children obtain
 2-1     health insurance at a price they can afford; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for the Wichita Falls ISD as an expression of high regard
 2-4     and best wishes by the Texas House of Representatives.
