R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Arnold Elementary School has been awarded
 1-2     "recognized" status by the Texas Education Agency for its overall
 1-3     academic achievement; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Among the criteria that must be met to attain this
 1-5     status are good scores on the TAAS test, a good attendance rate,
 1-6     and a low dropout rate; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Enhanced academic achievement is the goal of all
 1-8     schools statewide, and attaining designation as a recognized school
 1-9     indicates that the students and faculty at Arnold Elementary School
1-10     have performed admirably in their pursuit of this goal; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The notable achievements of these fine Texans are
1-12     indeed worthy of special legislative recognition; now, therefore,
1-13     be it
1-14           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-15     Legislature hereby commend the students and faculty at Arnold
1-16     Elementary School on their school's designation as "recognized" by
1-17     the Texas Education Agency and extend to them sincere best wishes
1-18     for continued success; and, be it further
1-19           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution  be
1-20     prepared for Arnold Elementary School as an expression of high
1-21     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
