No. 197 77R3714 MJS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The year 2001 marks the 20th anniversary of 1-2 Creekwood Middle School, and this notable event is indeed worthy of 1-3 special praise; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Located in Kingwood, Creekwood Middle School has 1-5 established itself as a premier educational institution during its 1-6 two-decade existence; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Under the astute guidance of principal Pam Riggs, 1-8 Creekwood Middle School has flourished while continuing to meet the 1-9 needs of its students; in addition, the school has earned an 1-10 exemplary status rating from the Texas Education Agency every year 1-11 since 1990; and 1-12 WHEREAS, The achievements of Creekwood Middle School would 1-13 not have been possible without the outstanding leadership and 1-14 dedication demonstrated by the faculty, staff, and students; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Opened in 1981 and a part of the Humble ISD, 1-16 Creekwood Middle School serves the sixth, seventh, and eighth 1-17 grades and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of the 1-19 young people of our state is an undertaking of paramount 1-20 importance, and it is most appropriate to pay tribute to Creekwood 1-21 Middle School and those estimable public servants who strive to 1-22 accomplish this significant goal; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby honor Creekwood Middle School on its 20th 2-1 anniversary and extend to its educators, staff, and students 2-2 sincere best wishes for success and happiness in future endeavors; 2-3 and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for Creekwood Middle School as an expression of high 2-6 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
