R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 the educators of St. Mary's Catholic School in Waco on January 29, 1-3 2001, which has been designated National Appreciation Day for 1-4 Catholic Teachers; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Guided by Principal Sister Kenneth Reagan, the 18 1-6 staff members serve as positive role models for their young charges 1-7 while they lovingly encourage their 123 prekindergarten through 1-8 eighth-grade students to fulfill their highest potential; and 1-9 WHEREAS, St. Mary's Catholic School was founded in 1947, and 1-10 since that time it has consistently played a key role in meeting 1-11 the educational needs of its community; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Through the years, the school's outstanding 1-13 educators have inspired thousands of Texas children to achieve 1-14 their best, and their steadfast commitment ensures that the 1-15 students in their community are being ably prepared for bright and 1-16 promising futures; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby honor the exceptional educators of St. Mary's 1-19 Catholic School and Principal Sister Kenneth Reagan on the occasion 1-20 of National Appreciation Day for Catholic Teachers and extend to 1-21 them best wishes for continued success; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for 1-23 St. Mary's Catholic School as an expression of high regard by the 1-24 Texas House of Representatives.
