                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Ned Euseppi of El Paso on December
 1-2     10, 2000, at the age of 49, brought a great loss to the family and
 1-3     friends of this esteemed Texas resident; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born on July 31, 1951, Mr. Euseppi attended
 1-5     Altheimer High School in Arkansas before earning his degree in
 1-6     finance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville; after
 1-7     moving to Pine Bluff and working as an auditor for Simmons First
 1-8     National Bank, he joined First South Savings and Loan, where he
 1-9     worked first as controller and then as treasurer; and
1-10           WHEREAS, In 1987, Mr. Euseppi moved to Little Rock and
1-11     co-founded Pinnacle Mortgage Company; four years later he came to
1-12     El Paso, where he enjoyed great success in the financial industry
1-13     assisting the Fred Hervey family in restructuring and revitalizing
1-14     their Sun World Corporation, in addition to serving on the board of
1-15     directors of Sun World Savings Bank, Sun World Federal Bank, and
1-16     U.S. Community Savings; and
1-17           WHEREAS, When the organization was sold to Nation's Bank,
1-18     Mr. Euseppi joined Salomon Smith Barney for a short time and then
1-19     went on to found Capital Savings, which he ably directed as its
1-20     president and chief executive officer; and
1-21           WHEREAS, He actively participated in various organizations,
1-22     including the Rotary Club, and he served as past president of El
1-23     Paso Insights Science Museum Board; moreover, he devoted much time
1-24     as a past fund-raising chair for the El Paso Boy Scouts and as a
 2-1     member of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra Foundation board of
 2-2     directors; and
 2-3           WHEREAS,  Mr. Euseppi contributed greatly to the El Paso
 2-4     community and the area's businesses, and his memory will
 2-5     undoubtedly live on in the hearts of many; now, therefore, be it
 2-6           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-7     Legislature hereby honor the memory of Ned Euseppi and extend
 2-8     sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife, Kathy
 2-9     Euseppi; to his daughter, Julie Euseppi; to his sons, Paul and
2-10     Jonathan Euseppi; to his brothers, Joe and James Euseppi; to his
2-11     sisters, Rosemary Luzietti, Norie McCall, and Ginny Sepielli; and
2-12     to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
2-13           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-14     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
2-15     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-16     Ned Euseppi.
