                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Charlie Ragus of Dallas is an outstanding
 1-2     businessman whose inspirational attitude and deep commitment to the
 1-3     well-being of his fellow citizens is noteworthy; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Founder of AdvoCare International, Mr. Ragus has
 1-5     built a flourishing company on the foundation of a quality product
 1-6     and respect for clients and employees; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, A graduate of Northwestern State University in
 1-8     Louisiana, he established AdvoCare in 1993, and the company has
 1-9     grown steadily and recently expanded into Puerto Rico; and
1-10           WHEREAS, For four consecutive years, AdvoCare International
1-11     has been a recipient of the Dallas 100 award, which recognizes the
1-12     fastest-growing, privately held companies in the Dallas area; in
1-13     addition, Mr. Ragus was recently honored as a finalist for the
1-14     prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award and invited to the CEO
1-15     Institute's 5th Annual CEO Symposium as the keynote speaker; and
1-16           WHEREAS, The economic well-being of the United States depends
1-17     in large part on the successful efforts of independent businessmen,
1-18     and Mr. Ragus is making an impressive contribution to his
1-19     community, the state, and this nation; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby recognize Charlie Ragus, successful entrepreneur
1-22     and founder of AdvoCare International, and extend to him sincere
1-23     best wishes for the future; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for Mr. Ragus as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 2-2     House of Representatives.
