                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, William Ward Hooser Sullivan has recently been
 1-2     selected as a member of the Ross Volunteers, and this noteworthy
 1-3     achievement is most deserving of special legislative recognition;
 1-4     and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mr. Sullivan is
 1-6     among his family's sixth generation to reside in Galveston; born on
 1-7     December 9, 1979, as the youngest of five children, he graduated
 1-8     with honors from high school and currently attends Texas A&M
 1-9     University as a business finance major; and
1-10           WHEREAS, A member of the university's Corps of Cadets,
1-11     Mr. Sullivan was selected to join the Ross Volunteers, the honor
1-12     guard for President George W. Bush, after earning the prestigious
1-13     rank of first sergeant of Company E2; during his tenure with the
1-14     Corps of Cadets, he has displayed the dedication and strong
1-15     leadership abilities essential for membership in this esteemed
1-16     organization; and
1-17           WHEREAS, In addition, this young man and his brothers have
1-18     run a successful landscape and lawn maintenance company, Sullivan
1-19     Environmental, further demonstrating his mature and responsible
1-20     nature; and
1-21           WHEREAS, It is a privilege to honor one of this state's
1-22     exemplary young men, whose accomplishments are a tribute to his
1-23     family and an asset to this state; now, therefore, be it
1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby commend William Ward Hooser Sullivan for his
 2-2     many contributions to his community and the state and extend to him
 2-3     sincere best wishes for continued success in all his future
 2-4     endeavors; and, be it further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-6     prepared for Mr. Sullivan as an expression of high regard by the
 2-7     Texas House of Representatives.
