R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to 1-2 welcome members of the Henderson County 4-H Program, and this 1-3 noteworthy group of young Texans is most deserving of special 1-4 recognition; and 1-5 WHEREAS, A part of the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, 1-6 the Henderson County 4-H Program has more than 300 members; it has 1-7 received much acclaim and is truly an asset to building a bright 1-8 and promising future for the next generation of Texas leaders; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The 4-H motto, "To make the best better," is a 1-10 testament to the remarkable commitment necessary for involvement in 1-11 this program; making intelligent choices, encouraging kindness and 1-12 compassion, and developing life skills and a strong work ethic are 1-13 among the many worthwhile values that the volunteer leaders of the 1-14 4-H Program strive to instill in the members; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Youth are encouraged to participate in county, 1-16 state, and national projects and competitions, allowing them to 1-17 acquire a host of unique experiences and make lifelong friendships; 1-18 the Henderson County members of this national organization are 1-19 among the most active in these programs and have been highly 1-20 successful on all levels; and 1-21 WHEREAS, The members of the Henderson County 4-H Program are 1-22 exceptionally civic-minded young men and women, and it is a 1-23 privilege to honor them for their dedication to noble ideals and 1-24 for their many achievements; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby commend the 4-H Program of Henderson County and 2-3 extend to them a warm welcome as they visit the State Capitol; and, 2-4 be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for the members of this organization as an expression of 2-7 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
