                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The residents of Burkburnett have long benefited
 1-2     from the civic contributions of Doug and Roy Cheney, and their
 1-3     significant efforts are most deserving of special recognition; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Co-owners of Cheney Electric, these brothers have
 1-5     given generously of their time and resources to numerous worthwhile
 1-6     community initiatives and worked diligently for the betterment of
 1-7     their beloved Texas town; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, These two accomplished businessmen were recently
 1-9     honored when Cheney Electric was named Business of the Year by the
1-10     Burkburnett Chamber of Commerce; their noteworthy professional
1-11     success, coupled with their community involvement, is a testament
1-12     to their impressive abilities and immense civic-minded values; and
1-13           WHEREAS, In light of their commendable civic endeavors and
1-14     their most recent accomplishment, it is a privilege to honor them
1-15     at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-17     Legislature hereby commend Doug and Roy Cheney for their
1-18     outstanding efforts in behalf of the citizens of Burkburnett and
1-19     the State of Texas and extend to them sincere best wishes for
1-20     continued success; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for them as an expression of high regard by the Texas
1-23     House of Representatives.
