                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to
 1-2     recognize students and teachers from Trinity School in Midland on
 1-3     the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol on February 26,
 1-4     2001; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The historic Capitol during the midst of a
 1-6     legislative session offers an ideal setting for Trinity's
 1-7     representatives to learn more about the rich heritage that belongs
 1-8     to all citizens of the Lone Star State and to gain greater insight
 1-9     into our state government; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Since 1958, Trinity School has offered its young
1-11     scholars both a solid spiritual foundation based on the tenets of
1-12     the Episcopal Church and myriad opportunities to excel within a
1-13     liberal arts and sciences curriculum, encompassing academics,
1-14     athletics, the arts, and extracurricular activities; personal
1-15     responsibility, integrity, compassion, and service to others are
1-16     emphasized, and a student-administered honor code is maintained in
1-17     the upper-grade levels; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Trinity School government students visiting the
1-19     capitol include Lauren Morris, Andrew Anderson, David Blackketter,
1-20     David Case, David Comeaux, Charlie Ice, David Judson, Andrew
1-21     Latham, Tom Morris, Jeffrey Nagy, J Rathbone, Addie Smith, Michael
1-22     Stoltz, Cathy Urbano, Nic Vascocu, Jeremy Vogel, and Chase
1-23     Woerndle; and
1-24           WHEREAS, The students' tour of the State Capitol and meetings
 2-1     with legislators are a result of Trinity School's commitment to
 2-2     providing an enriched education for the citizens of the 21st
 2-3     century, and it is a privilege to support the school in this worthy
 2-4     goal; now, therefore, be it
 2-5           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-6     Legislature hereby welcome to the State Capitol the visiting
 2-7     delegation from Trinity School in Midland and extend to them
 2-8     sincere best wishes for success and happiness in all their future
 2-9     endeavors; and, be it further
2-10           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-11     prepared for Trinity School as an expression of high regard by the
2-12     Texas House of Representatives.
