No. 375 77R7559 MDM-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to pay 1-2 tribute to the Angleton Danbury Medical Center Auxiliary for its 1-3 receipt of a Platinum Award from America's Blood Centers; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Honored for its exemplary volunteer blood donor 1-5 program, the auxiliary was nominated by the Gulf Coast Regional 1-6 Blood Center in Houston, which provides blood and blood components 1-7 for transfusion to the hospital and conducts the monthly blood 1-8 drives sponsored by the group; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Now under the leadership of Sarah Bostick, auxiliary 1-10 members have created a community of blood donors who have provided 1-11 more than 27,000 units of blood since the group began coordinating 1-12 the much-needed effort in 1972; in collaboration with local media, 1-13 the auxiliary publicly recognizes donors and highlights the need 1-14 for this generous volunteer service; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Angleton Danbury Medical Center Auxiliary members 1-16 are dedicated to bettering the quality of life for citizens of all 1-17 ages in the Lone Star State, and it is most appropriate that the 1-18 individuals of this organization be recognized at this time; now, 1-19 therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-21 Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Angleton Danbury 1-22 Medical Center Auxiliary for their receipt of a Platinum Award from 1-23 America's Blood Centers and extend to them sincere best wishes for 1-24 continued success; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for the Angleton Danbury Medical Center Auxiliary as an 2-3 expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
