                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
 1-2     welcome the class of 2001 from Shady Grove Christian Academy to the
 1-3     State Capitol on February 28, 2001; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Located in Grand Prairie, Shady Grove Christian
 1-5     Academy is a private school that diligently strives to empower its
 1-6     students to achieve high academic standards and to build a strong
 1-7     spiritual character; as evidenced by their many accomplishments,
 1-8     the members of the senior class of 2001 have demonstrated an
 1-9     impressive commitment to these ideals; and
1-10           WHEREAS, In addition to excelling in numerous academic,
1-11     athletic, and artistic areas, the seniors have worked closely on a
1-12     variety of endeavors to earn the opportunity to embark on a mission
1-13     trip to Spain in May 2001; this included serving concessions and
1-14     working at the school cafeteria, as well as organizing and
1-15     conducting a banquet for the seniors of 2000; moreover, the
1-16     students have attended weekly meetings at the Prayer Center and
1-17     participated in fun functions such as a wiener roast, hayride,
1-18     skating party, and senior breakfast; and
1-19           WHEREAS, This outstanding class includes Abby Atristain,
1-20     Chris Bickers, Nathan Boggs, Joseph Cook, Victoria Dolph, Emily
1-21     Germash, Jeremiah Harris, Daniel Hrabel, Mabrie Jackson, Kira
1-22     Jackson, Joy Kested, Chad King, Sarah Leckie, Mirjam Link,
1-23     Stephanie Lowrie, Michael McGinley, Matt Mitchell, Kathleen Moran,
1-24     Jennifer Nickerson, Prakash Ravi, Chelsea Robertson, Embry
 2-1     Speakman, Derek Tuttle, Lacey Ward, Robbie Weeden, and James
 2-2     Wilson; and
 2-3           WHEREAS, The talented members of the senior class of Shady
 2-4     Grove Christian Academy have proven themselves to be admirable
 2-5     young men and women of immense potential, and it is most
 2-6     appropriate that we honor these future leaders of the Lone Star
 2-7     State at this time; now, therefore, be it
 2-8           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-9     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the 2001 graduating class of
2-10     Shady Grove Christian Academy and extend to them best wishes for an
2-11     enjoyable visit to the State Capitol.
