No. 396 77R7066 MMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Isidor Ybarra, Jr., of Porter has long been a 1-2 respected community leader in Montgomery County, one whose 1-3 experience and leadership have benefited countless endeavors; and 1-4 WHEREAS, While managing a successful business, Ricardo's 1-5 Mexican Restaurant, Mr. Ybarra has given unstintingly of his time 1-6 to economic, educational, and civic undertakings; currently he is a 1-7 member of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Board and an 1-8 elected member of the East Montgomery County Improvement District 1-9 Board; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Mr. Ybarra has assisted the New Caney Independent 1-11 School District, serving on committees concerned with facilities, 1-12 E.S.L. programs, conduct manuals, and the welcoming of new 1-13 teachers; he has also worked for bond proposals benefiting the New 1-14 Caney school district, as well as for those benefiting the local 1-15 college district and Montgomery County; and 1-16 WHEREAS, His business expertise has been invaluable to the 1-17 Montgomery County Hospital Foundation and to Porter Water, both of 1-18 which he has served as board member and as vice president; in 1-19 addition, Mr. Ybarra has been a member of the Citizen's 1-20 Transportation Committee and the Citizen's Capital Needs Evaluation 1-21 Committee for Montgomery County; and 1-22 WHEREAS, A graduate of the 1999-2000 inaugural class of 1-23 Leadership East Montgomery County, Mr. Ybarra is a board member of 1-24 the Community Chamber, which represents East Montgomery County, and 2-1 president of Concerned Citizens of East Montgomery County; he also 2-2 belongs to the American Legion and the Twin Cities Lions Club; and 2-3 WHEREAS, Over the years such a committed individual receives 2-4 innumerable accolades, and it is fitting to mention two of his 2-5 recent honors: his selection as the Outstanding Member of 1999 by 2-6 the Community Chamber of Commerce and his receipt of the Montgomery 2-7 County Republican National Hispanic Assembly El Aguila Leadership 2-8 Award for the year 2000; and 2-9 WHEREAS, It can truly be said that every resident of 2-10 Montgomery County has been touched by the work Mr. Ybarra has done 2-11 in behalf of his fellow citizens, and it is a pleasure to commend 2-12 this esteemed gentleman during his visit to the State Capitol; now, 2-13 therefore, be it 2-14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 2-15 Legislature hereby pay tribute to Isidor Ybarra, Jr., for his 2-16 exemplary community leadership and extend to him sincere best 2-17 wishes for happiness and success in the years ahead; and, be it 2-18 further 2-19 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-20 prepared for Mr. Ybarra as an expression of high regard by the 2-21 Texas House of Representatives.
