                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Millard Stewart IV of Houston has attained the rank
 1-2     of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment is truly worthy of special
 1-3     recognition; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a rare honor, one
 1-5     bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting
 1-6     program, and by meeting the rank's demanding criteria Mr. Stewart
 1-7     has achieved a notable feat; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, This admirable young man is notable not only for his
 1-9     outstanding leadership ability but for his versatility; a
1-10     soon-to-be plebe at the United States Military Academy at West
1-11     Point, he will surely be well served by the decision-making skills
1-12     he honed in scouting; he is also a dedicated jazz saxophonist and
1-13     has long-term dreams of working in the music business; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Throughout his career as a scout, Mr. Stewart has
1-15     shown a strong dedication to the ideals of the scouting movement,
1-16     winning the respect and admiration of those around him, and it is
1-17     truly a privilege to honor him at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby congratulate Millard Stewart IV on attaining the
1-20     rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
1-21     happiness and success in his future endeavors; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Mr. Stewart as an expression of high regard by the
1-24     Texas House of Representatives.
