                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Thomas Nathan Jones of Houston has earned the right
 1-2     to wear the Eagle Scout insignia, and this noteworthy
 1-3     accomplishment is truly deserving of special commendation; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jones, this admirable
 1-5     young Texan has exhibited great dedication in pursuit of his goals,
 1-6     fulfilling the rigorous qualifications necessary to achieve the
 1-7     rank of Eagle Scout, garnering the required merit badges, and
 1-8     completing his service project to benefit the community; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Mr. Jones is a senior at Eisenhower High School and
1-10     a member of a number of commendable organizations, including the
1-11     student council, Junior Achievement, Key Club International, the
1-12     National Art Honor Society, and the golf team; a PSAT National
1-13     Achievement Scholarship Program finalist and Commended Scholar,
1-14     Mr. Jones is an outstanding student who has been recommended for
1-15     inclusion in Who's Who Among American High School Students and
1-16     plans to pursue a career in business and marketing after completing
1-17     his college education; and
1-18           WHEREAS, The elite rank of Eagle Scout is attained by few
1-19     individuals and requires the highest standards of integrity and
1-20     commitment; Mr. Jones has proven himself a most worthy recipient of
1-21     this honor, and his selfless record of service in behalf of others
1-22     portends a bright and promising future; now, therefore, be it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-24     Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas Nathan Jones on becoming an
 2-1     Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
 2-2     success; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Mr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 2-5     House of Representatives.
