R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Celina Banda, Indira Bello, Brittany Gary, Elisa 1-2 Infante, Miranda Mercer, Dustin Porterfield, Elvia Rodriguez, and 1-3 Rebecca Wilson are going somewhere no one in their families has 1-4 gone before: college; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The First Generation College Bound Scholars program 1-6 of Texas House District 10 recognizes high school seniors from each 1-7 school district in Ellis and Hill counties who are the first 1-8 members of their families that will be attending institutions of 1-9 higher learning after graduating from high school; and 1-10 WHEREAS, These talented students have combined academic 1-11 excellence with a fervent desire to further their education to 1-12 bring their dreams to fruition; their graduation from high school 1-13 demonstrates the possibilities that are available to them through 1-14 hard work, discipline, industriousness, and personal sacrifice; and 1-15 WHEREAS, They are embracing the myriad opportunities and 1-16 challenges of the future, and it is with a great sense of pride 1-17 that we honor these leaders of tomorrow; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-19 Legislature hereby congratulate Celina Banda, Indira Bello, 1-20 Brittany Gary, Elisa Infante, Miranda Mercer, Dustin Porterfield, 1-21 Elvia Rodriguez, and Rebecca Wilson for their outstanding 1-22 achievement in being college bound and extend to them sincere best 1-23 wishes for continued success; and, be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for these fine young people as an expression of high 2-2 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
