R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for
1-2 celebration, and on December 30, 2000, Gladys Riley and Pat Riley,
1-3 Sr., of Woodville marked this significant milestone in their
1-4 marriage with a reception at the Dogwood Hills Baptist Church
1-5 hosted by their family; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Married on December 26, 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Riley
1-7 enjoy a happy and fulfilling relationship that is built on a solid
1-8 foundation of mutual love, trust, and respect; they take great
1-9 pride in their cherished family of three children, Pat A. Riley, Jo
1-10 Ellen Rabago, and Terry W. Riley, and four beloved grandchildren;
1-11 and
1-12 WHEREAS, Highly respected members of their community, they
1-13 are owners of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County, Inc.; and
1-14 WHEREAS, This devoted couple have shared the trials and
1-15 triumphs of five decades together, and it is indeed appropriate
1-16 that they be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-18 Legislature hereby congratulate Gladys Riley and Pat Riley, Sr., on
1-19 the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to
1-20 them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
1-21 further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Riley as an expression of high regard by
1-23 the Texas House of Representatives.
