R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On June 17, 2000, the Pflugerville National #1 "The 1-2 Express" 7-8 year old All-Star Team claimed first place at the 1-3 Texas District 30 Little League Tournament of Champions; and 1-4 WHEREAS, "The Express" steamrolled through the District 30 1-5 Tournament with a 4-0 record; after an 11-6 triumph over Elgin in 1-6 game one, the team beat Pflugerville #5 19-1 in the second game and 1-7 bested Pflugerville American #1 15-7 in game three; in the final 1-8 game, "The Express" spotted Taylor two runs in the first, after 1-9 which they poured on the offense to rack up 14 unanswered runs and 1-10 cruise to a 14-2 victory and the District 30 Tournament of 1-11 Champions title; and 1-12 WHEREAS, This outstanding triumph would not have been 1-13 possible without the contributions of all the talented team 1-14 members, including Brandon Ashcraft, Nicholas Bownds, Patrick 1-15 Burris, Daniel Canales, Zach DiSchiano, Todd Foster, Jacob Garza, 1-16 Tyler Havins, Kyle Kulczyk, Trevor Seidenberger, Shaun Simmons, 1-17 Samuel Swartz, and Zach Vasquez; these stars of the diamond were 1-18 skillfully led by manager Steve Swartz and coaches Tony Ashcraft, 1-19 Joe Foster, Jimmy Don Havins, Mark Seidenberger, and Johnny 1-20 Simmons; and 1-21 WHEREAS, The young champions of "The Express" have 1-22 distinguished themselves as formidable competitors, and it is truly 1-23 a privilege to pay tribute to them for their outstanding 1-24 achievement; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby congratulate the Pflugerville National #1 "The 2-3 Express" All-Star Team on winning the Texas District 30 Little 2-4 League Tournament of Champions; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for the team's players and coaches as an expression of 2-7 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
