R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to 1-2 honor Robbie Hetherington of San Marcos for his myriad 1-3 achievements; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on October 18, 1-5 1970, this naturalized Texan grew up on the East Side of Houston; 1-6 after graduating from Northshore High School, Mr. Hetherington 1-7 attended Texas A&M University, where he played on the racquetball 1-8 team and participated in several tournament and shootout victories; 1-9 he then studied at Sam Houston State University, where he was on 1-10 the racquetball team and a repeat intramural champion in several 1-11 sports while earning his bachelor of science degree in criminal 1-12 justice; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Mr. Hetherington holds an emergency medical 1-14 technician-intermediate license and is a graduate of the San Marcos 1-15 Citizens Police Academy; a sporting enthusiast, he cofounded RHI 1-16 Basketball Academy in Seguin and won the San Marcos Racquetball 1-17 Championship in Spring 2000; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Mr. Hetherington is a model citizen and valued 1-19 member of his community, and it is a privilege to recognize him at 1-20 this time; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-22 Legislature hereby commend Robbie Hetherington for his many 1-23 achievements and extend to him best wishes for continued success 1-24 and happiness; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for Mr. Hetherington as an expression of high regard by 2-3 the Texas House of Representatives.
