By Carter H.R. No. 473 77R8629 MW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Albert J. "Al" Stover of Bedford on 1-2 February 17, 2001, at the age of 66, has deeply saddened his family 1-3 and many friends; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born on December 13, 1934, in Kearney, Nebraska, 1-5 Mr. Stover moved to the Fort Worth area in 1966; he became well 1-6 known as a photographer and as the founder and director of the 1-7 Texas Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Stover enjoyed serving his fellow citizens in 1-9 many ways, and he actively participated in the American Heart 1-10 Association of Northeast Tarrant County, Arts Council of Northeast 1-11 Tarrant County, and various chambers of commerce; and 1-12 WHEREAS, A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, 1-13 this esteemed Texan has left a legacy of good works, and his spirit 1-14 will live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives he 1-15 touched; now, therefore, be it 1-16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-17 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Albert J. Stover and 1-18 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, 1-19 Sandi Stover; to his daughter, Terri Colling; to his sister, Ilene 1-20 Wenzlick; to his stepchildren, Steve Sheppard and Scott Sheppard; 1-21 and to his grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends; and, 1-22 be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 2-1 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Albert J. 2-2 "Al" Stover.
