R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, An 80th birthday is truly cause for a celebration, 1-2 and on March 16, 2001, Clara Glover Kizzee of Houston is marking 1-3 this significant milestone in the company of family and friends; 1-4 and 1-5 WHEREAS, A native of Lufkin, she is married to Louis Kizzee 1-6 and, together with her husband, takes great pride in her close-knit 1-7 family, which includes her three children, Jacqueline Dokes, 1-8 Juanita Glover Hubbard, and Rita Washington, and her seven 1-9 grandchildren, Miranda, Willie Lee, Tangela, Elaine, Terrance, 1-10 Rosalyn, and Eric; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Mrs. Kizzee was employed by the Veterans 1-12 Administration Hospital in Houston for a quarter-century, and she 1-13 also helped homebound patients as a licensed vocational nurse 1-14 during her career; and 1-15 WHEREAS, In addition, this lovely lady has generously 1-16 volunteered her time in behalf of many worthy organizations, 1-17 including the Kashmere Multi-Service Center, The American Legion, 1-18 Planned Parenthood, and the American Red Cross; and 1-19 WHEREAS, The birthday of Mrs. Kizzee provides a fitting 1-20 opportunity for her friends and relatives to share with her a small 1-21 bit of the joy and hope she has imparted to so many people through 1-22 the years; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby congratulate Clara Glover Kizzee on the occasion 2-1 of her 80th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for 2-2 continued happiness; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Mrs. Kizzee as an expression of high regard by the 2-5 Texas House of Representatives.
