                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Lola Mae Peavy of Fort Worth on
 1-2     February 15, 2001, at the age of 81, has deeply saddened the family
 1-3     and many friends of this beloved woman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born on March 30, 1919, in Huckabay, this lifelong
 1-5     Texan spent her childhood there and later moved to Fort Worth,
 1-6     where she married her husband, Marshall Peavy; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Mrs. Peavy was devoted to her family and had a happy
 1-8     and rewarding marriage with her husband that spanned 58 years until
 1-9     his passing in 1998; she was also blessed with a son and grandson
1-10     in whom she took great pride; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Retired from careers in restaurant and office
1-12     management, this lovely lady was known for her generous and caring
1-13     nature, as she always placed the needs of others before her own,
1-14     and inspired her friends at Bridgewood Church of Christ and in the
1-15     greater community; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Though Mrs. Peavy will long be missed by all who
1-17     knew her, her memory will surely live on for years to come in the
1-18     hearts and minds of the many people whose lives she touched; now,
1-19     therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby honor the memory of Lola Mae Peavy and extend
1-22     sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her son, Dr.
1-23     Wayne Peavy; to her grandson, Mark Wayne Peavy; to her sisters,
1-24     Virgie Cordua, Jewel Busbee, and Eunice Lagna; and to her other
 2-1     friends and relatives; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
 2-4     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 2-5     Lola Mae Peavy.
