                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for a
 1-2     celebration, and on March 24, 2001, Marvin and Patricia Sanders of
 1-3     Ransom Canyon will observe one such significant milestone in their
 1-4     life together; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Joined in marriage on March 24, 1951, at the First
 1-6     United Methodist Church in Anson, Mr. Sanders and the former
 1-7     Patricia Christine Akers enjoy a fulfilling relationship based on a
 1-8     solid foundation of mutual love, trust, and respect that has been
 1-9     an inspiration to their family and many friends; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The couple are blessed with three children, Michael
1-11     Lee Sanders, James Kirk Sanders, and Christine Sanders Petty, and
1-12     through the years they have experienced the joys of grandparenting
1-13     with the addition of four beloved grandchildren to their close-knit
1-14     family; and
1-15           WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders have shared
1-16     many happy times and cherished family memories; their commitment to
1-17     each other is a source of great pride to their loved ones, and it
1-18     is indeed appropriate that they be honored at this time; now,
1-19     therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby congratulate Marvin and Patricia Sanders on the
1-22     memorable occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to
1-23     them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
1-24     further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sanders as an expression of high regard
 2-3     by the Texas House of Representatives.
