R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Bobby Eubanks of Fort Worth on
 1-2     January 15, 2001, at the age of 56, has brought a profound sense of
 1-3     loss to the family and friends of this esteemed gentleman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born on July 14, 1944, in Crosset, Arkansas,
 1-5     Mr. Eubanks moved to Fort Worth after high school; he had a
 1-6     distinguished 18-year career as an administrative manager for
 1-7     Combustion Engineering; he helped build power plants all over the
 1-8     United States and the world, including such places as Indonesia and
 1-9     Puerto Rico; and
1-10           WHEREAS, While working in a distant locale, Mr. Eubanks would
1-11     sometimes place a phone call to a favorite establishment of his in
1-12     Fort Worth and order a few rounds of drinks for patrons and then
1-13     FedEx an overnight check to cover the expense; moreover, he enjoyed
1-14     making friendly wagers and those close to him marveled at his
1-15     inexplicable run of good luck and fortune; and
1-16           WHEREAS, This gregarious gentleman had a number of hobbies
1-17     and interests, including NASCAR, horse racing, cars, and country
1-18     music; he also played several instruments and was an accomplished
1-19     musician; and
1-20           WHEREAS, A patriotic American and proud Texan, Mr. Eubanks
1-21     was a devoted father and husband who took great satisfaction in
1-22     providing for his family; his amiable personality and immense
1-23     character earned him a special place in the hearts of many people;
1-24     and
 2-1           WHEREAS, Although Mr. Eubanks will be deeply missed, his
 2-2     infectious spirit and caring nature will continue to live on in all
 2-3     those whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it
 2-4           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-5     Legislature hereby honor the memory of Bobby Eubanks and extend
 2-6     sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Gay
 2-7     Lynn; to his son and daughter, Mark and Shea; to his mother,
 2-8     Lavetta; to his sister and brothers, Shelby, Jimmy, and Jessie; to
 2-9     his grandson and five granddaughters; and to his many friends and
2-10     other relatives; and, be it further
2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-12     prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2-13     Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bobby
2-14     Eubanks.
