R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Bob and Sarah Willey of Midland recently celebrated
 1-2     their 50th wedding anniversary, and this golden milestone is truly
 1-3     worthy of special recognition; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Willey and the former Sarah Forbess were married
 1-5     on September 1, 1950, and the couple have shared a loving union
 1-6     that has been blessed with two children, five grandchildren, and
 1-7     one great-grandchild; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, After living in Andrews and Big Spring, they moved
 1-9     to Midland where Mr. Willey worked for Union Texas Petroleum until
1-10     1992, when he retired after 37 years of service; Mrs. Willey
1-11     retired from 25 years of loyal employment with B. Williams and
1-12     Sons; and
1-13           WHEREAS, For half a century these devoted Texans have enjoyed
1-14     an enduring union filled with many happy times and cherished family
1-15     memories, and it is indeed a privilege to honor them at this time;
1-16     now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby congratulate Bob and Sarah Willey on the
1-19     occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
1-20     sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Willey as an expression of high regard by
1-23     the Texas House of Representatives.
