                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Mount Vernon Independent School District is one
 1-2     of the strongest in the Lone Star State, and its many fine
 1-3     educators are most worthy of special praise; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, These outstanding educators have played an integral
 1-5     role in helping each school within the district to receive an
 1-6     exemplary rating from the State of Texas; moreover, Mount Vernon
 1-7     Elementary School was one of only eight schools in the state to
 1-8     earn Recognized Honor School distinction from the Texas Business
 1-9     and Education Coalition; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The achievements of the school district would not
1-11     have been possible without the leadership and dedication
1-12     demonstrated by the educators at the high school, junior high and
1-13     intermediate school, and elementary school levels; and
1-14           WHEREAS, At Mount Vernon High School, invaluable
1-15     contributions have been made by principal Ben Tyler, assistant
1-16     principal Rick Flanagan, Lori Bailey, Kelly Baird, Martin Bass,
1-17     Anna Elliott, Karen Elmore, Brad Floyd, June Foster, Debra Gage,

 3-6           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 3-7     Legislature hereby honor the Mount Vernon Independent School
 3-8     District and its esteemed educators and extend to them sincere best
 3-9     wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
3-10           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3-11     prepared for the Mount Vernon Independent School District as an
3-12     expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
