                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Shawn Anthony Mansur of Wichita Falls has earned the
 1-2     rank of Eagle Scout, and this honor is the latest in a string of
 1-3     achievements for this fine young man; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Mansur worked diligently to complete the
 1-5     rigorous qualifications necessary to achieve this rank; in addition
 1-6     to garnering the requisite merit badges, he successfully completed
 1-7     his Eagle Scout Service Project, building a bird habitat for River
 1-8     Bend Nature Works; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, His efforts to preserve and protect our natural
1-10     resources earned him the BSA Conservation Merit Badge and the 1999
1-11     Conservation & Stewardship Award from River Bend Nature Works;
1-12     moreover, this well-rounded young man is an active member of  Faith
1-13     Village Church of Christ, where he was designated a Joyful Servant;
1-14     and
1-15           WHEREAS, An honors student at Wichita Falls High School,
1-16     Mr. Mansur has received a number of well-deserved accolades through
1-17     the years, including the President's Award for Education Excellence
1-18     and the Odyssey of the Mind Ranatra Fusca Creativity Award; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Mansur is a young man of immense ability
1-20     and potential, and the valuable lessons and skills he has learned
1-21     in pursuit of his new rank will serve him well as he embraces the
1-22     challenges of the future; now, therefore, be it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-24     Legislature hereby commend Shawn Anthony Mansur for attaining the
 2-1     rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
 2-2     continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Mr. Mansur as an expression of high regard by the
 2-5     Texas House of Representatives.
