                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The family and friends of Gerald A. "Jerry" Hubener
 1-2     of Duncanville were deeply saddened by the untimely passing of this
 1-3     beloved Texan on January 30, 2001, at the age of 56; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Hubener was born on July 26, 1944, and graduated
 1-5     from C. E. Byrd High School before earning his degree at Louisiana
 1-6     Tech, where he was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity;
 1-7     and
 1-8           WHEREAS, A highly respected member of the insurance
 1-9     profession, Mr. Hubener held many noteworthy positions in the
1-10     two-state area; he worked for Trinity Universal Insurance Company
1-11     for the last 17 years as a marketing manager and is remembered for
1-12     being a considerate and fair businessman; and
1-13           WHEREAS, This esteemed individual touched the lives of many
1-14     people as a devoted husband and loving father, a valued colleague,
1-15     and a charming and loyal friend, and his bright spirit will live on
1-16     in the hearts and minds of all those who held him dear; now,
1-17     therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gerald A. Hubener and
1-20     extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife
1-21     of 33 years, Ann; to his children, Katy and James; to his
1-22     daughter-in-law, Jennifer Rachaner; to his parents, Sidney and
1-23     Maxine Hubener; to his brother, Ray Hubener; to his sister, Kathy
1-24     Breaux; to his nephews, Trey and Taylor Nobles; and to his other
 2-1     relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
 2-4     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 2-5     Gerald A. Hubener.
