R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, May 1, 2001, marks the celebration of Law Day in the
 1-2     United States, and this noteworthy occasion provides a fitting
 1-3     opportunity to honor The Honorable Rayburn M. Nall, Jr., judge of
 1-4     the 59th District Court of Grayson County; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Judge Nall is a graduate of Texas Christian
 1-6     University and the South Texas College of Law and is presently
 1-7     enrolled in the masters of judicial studies program at the
 1-8     University of Nevada, Reno; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, A former partner in the law firm of Nall, Pelley and
1-10     Wynne L.L.P., this exemplary attorney enjoyed a 22-year career in
1-11     private practice in his hometown of Sherman before being elected as
1-12     a district court judge; and
1-13           WHEREAS, He is a former president of the Grayson County Bar
1-14     Association and is on the Grayson County Juvenile Board; his
1-15     experience and wisdom have made him a valuable member of a number
1-16     of other professional organizations, including the American
1-17     Judicature Society and American Judges Association, as well as the
1-18     Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism; moreover, he is
1-19     a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and a life fellow
1-20     of the Texas Bar Foundation; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Judge Nall has contributed to his community in many
1-22     ways; he is a member of the board of Sherman Young Life, Texoma
1-23     Christian School, Grayson County Juvenile Alternatives, and the
1-24     Federal Land Bank Association in Sherman; he also is on the
 2-1     advisory board of Main Street Sherman and is a member of the
 2-2     Sherman Rotary Club and the Sherman Preservation League; and
 2-3           WHEREAS, With his exemplary record of service, Judge Nall has
 2-4     proven himself to be a leader who has strived to make a lasting
 2-5     difference in his community, and it is most appropriate to honor
 2-6     him at this time; now, therefore, be it
 2-7           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-8     Legislature hereby congratulate Rayburn M. Nall, Jr., on his
 2-9     outstanding service to his community and extend to him sincere best
2-10     wishes for the future; and, be it further
2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-12     prepared for Judge Nall as an expression of high regard by the
2-13     Texas House of Representatives.
