                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The family and friends of Lynwood Boyer of El Paso
 1-2     were deeply saddened by his passing on December 31, 2000, at the
 1-3     age of 67; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Boyer had an impressive 35-year career in the
 1-5     banking industry,  working in a variety of capacities, including
 1-6     teller, executive vice president, consultant, and office complex
 1-7     project manager; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, This admirable Texan used his abilities and
 1-9     expertise to help other employees do their best, and his
1-10     well-deserved reputation as a "go-to" person in the banking
1-11     business was forged from his detail-oriented approach and his
1-12     record of not being afraid to make a tough decision; and
1-13           WHEREAS,  Married to his wife, Barbara, just one month shy of
1-14     45 years, Mr. Boyer was a fierce competitor who was hard to beat in
1-15     a game of gin rummy, a man with a dry sense of humor, and a
1-16     businessman known for his integrity; he is greatly missed, but his
1-17     enduring spirit and significant contributions continue to live on
1-18     in the memories of all those whose lives he touched; now,
1-19     therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lynwood Boyer and
1-22     extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife,
1-23     Barbara; to his three daughters, Suzanne Boyer, Laura Bell, and
1-24     Jennifer Reynolds; to his two grandchildren, Donald Reynolds III
 2-1     and Jordan Bell; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
 2-2     further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 2-5     Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lynwood
 2-6     Boyer.
