R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Scott and Marissa Gilmore of Austin ensured 1-2 themselves an eventful interim indeed following the 76th 1-3 Legislative Session with the birth of their adorable baby daughter, 1-4 Claudia Michelle Gilmore, on October 15, 1999; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Claudia weighed 10 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 1-6 21 inches in length when she made her debut following a memorable 1-7 48 hours of labor, and her long-awaited arrival brought great joy 1-8 to her parents, her grandparents, Glen and Sharon Gilmore, Al and 1-9 Susan Freidricks, and Aurelio and Virginia Saldivar, and her 1-10 great-grandparent, Andres Saldivar; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Claudia's devoted mother is a valued employee of 1-12 Churchill Forge Properties while her father is a familiar face in 1-13 the Capitol Complex as he is the chief of staff for State 1-14 Representative Ray Allen; since becoming a dad, Mr. Gilmore has 1-15 happily submitted to the training provided him by his lively little 1-16 daughter, and his talent for thriving on little sleep and ability 1-17 to remain calm under trying conditions will no doubt serve him well 1-18 in the waning days of this legislative session; and 1-19 WHEREAS, At this time, it gives the members of this chamber 1-20 great pleasure to formally announce Claudia's birth and to honor 1-21 her parents; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby officially welcome Claudia Michelle Gilmore as a 1-24 new citizen of Texas and extend to Scott and Marissa Gilmore 2-1 heartfelt congratulations on the birth of their beloved daughter; 2-2 and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Claudia and her family as an expression of high regard 2-5 by the Texas House of Representatives.
